  Creditreform Rating has confirmed the unsolicited corporate issuer rating of Siemens AG at A +. The outlook remains stable. The business development in the financial year 2021 essentially reflects the general recovery in the most important customer sectors of the Siemens group. The order situation, sales revenues and the annual result improved significantly. However, the acquisition of Varian Medical Systems and the associated increase in debt had a dampening effect on the results of our financial figures analysis, which we do not currently see as a reason for a rating adjustment. Our positive assessment is furthermore based on the company's established market position and technology leadership, the good geographical and product diversification, the focus on promising and non-cyclical business areas combined with solid financials. We expect that Siemens will be able to maintain its good economic position and successfully cope with future tasks in the coming years, despite significant market risks. This would be possible through a prudent company policy, targeted research and development work and solid key financial ratios.
